• Afterwards, she traveled to Varva with the other Lost Lanterns to deliver news of Ke’Haan’s death to his family.
  
  
• Once there, Laira and the other Lost Lanterns found that Sinestro Corps member Amon Sur had murdered the fallen Lantern’s family.
  
  
• Enraged by the act, Laira murdered Amon Sur after he’d requested to be taken into custody.
  
  
• Laira was held in custody on Oa and sentenced by former Lost Lantern turned Alpha Lantern Boodikka. She was stripped of her ring and expelled from the Corps for her actions.
  
  
• En route to Jayd, the ship that she was traveling in fell under attack by a red power ring. The ring sensed Laira’s rage and attached itself to her, turning her into one of the first Red Lanterns.
  
  
• Reduced to an animal-like state, Laira attacked Hal when he and the Blue Lanterns came to Ysmault to free Sinestro.
  
  
• Laira was able to briefly see past her rage when Hal vowed to not see her lost again and asked for help. She was struck down by Sinestro before aid could be given to her.
  
  
• Revived by a white power ring and severely wounded, Laira found herself transported to Paradise Island where the ring responsible for her revival abandoned her. She was discovered by the Amazon, Artemis. The Amazons offered her sanctuary while she recovered from her injuries.
  
  
• After Mogo was killed during the War, Laira’s ring returned to her and she became a Green Lantern once again.
  
  
• After her reinstatement into the Corps, Laira struggled not only with acceptance from other Lanterns, but also with the lingering effects of the red power ring she had worn.
  
  
• Still susceptible and prone to losses of control, Laira found herself reverted back into a Red Lantern after the murder of one of her captains, and dear friends, on Jayd by her father’s former mistress.
  
  
• She would spend nearly three months off the grid before being located by Star Sapphire Dela Pharon and Blue Lantern Sister Sercy.
  
  
• Around a year after her return to the Corps and just weeks after being freed from the influence of the red ring, Laira encountered and began a friendship with Hal Jordan. Their platonic relationship shifted into a romantic one over several months, leading to the two marrying on December 28, 2013.
  
  
• Laira gave birth to her and Hal’s first daughter, Reina Irie Jordan-Saito, on March 17th, 2015.
  
  
• On May 31st, 2015, Laira returned to Jayd and found that her infant daughter had been stolen away by the Sinestro Corps member, Kryb. With the help of Daenerys Targaryen and the Sinestro Corps member Feena Sik, Laira was able to pinpoint the hag’s location and track her down. She captured Kryb and rescued her daughter. For crimes that the hag committed on her own world, Daenerys executed Kryb.
  
  
• Reina’s abduction would cause tension in Laira and Hal’s marriage. They would spend nearly two months separated from one another before beginning to mend their relationship.
  
  
• On December 28th, 2015 Laira revealed that she was pregnant with her and Hal’s second child. She is expecting a boy.
  
  
• Laira gave birth to her and Hal’s second child, a son named Alexander Mason Jordan-Saito, on June 19th, 2016.
  
  
• Shortly after the birth of their son, Hal was severely injured in a robbery attempt gone wrong at Ferris Air. While not wearing his ring, he was shot and sustained a serious injury to his chest. He would endure three different surgeries and over three weeks in the hospital before being released to return home. Laira remained on Earth to monitor and care for Hal after his attack. She would remain on Earth full-time until Hal was capable of returning to work at Ferris Air and his duties within the Corps.
  
  
• On Valentine’s Day, 2017, Laira revealed that she was pregnant with her and Hal’s third child. She revealed at this time that their third child was a girl.
  
  
• On July 31, 2017, Laira went into early labor with their second daughter. Complications arose during the birth, leading to their daughter being confined to a neonatal intensive care unit on Jayd. While in recovery, Laira suffered from internal bleeding caused by the complications of their daughter’s birth and briefly flatlined before being revived. She would spend the next several weeks in recovery on Jayd following the complications before being released. Both Laira and their third child, a daughter named Mari Rei Jordan-Saito have since returned home.

Offered a second chance at life following the War of the Green Lanterns, Laira has returned to her rank as Green Lantern and the protector of sector 112. Currently, Hea Imai is her apprentice and sector partner. The Crown Princess of Jayd, she rules beside her mother. In addition to her responsibilities as a Crown Princess and a Lantern, Laira also holds the responsibilities of a wife and mother. She is married to Hal Jordan and has three children.

Some years in the future, Laira and Hal are still married. Their three children Reina, Alexander, and Mari have grown and are now in their late teens. Hal and Laira still act as Green Lanterns in their respective sectors. Laira remains the Crown Princess of Jayd with her mother maintaining primary rule of the planet.

A rookie within the ranks of the Corps, Laira has successfully completed her first solo mission for the Guardians and now acts as the ruler of Jayd following her father's suicide. Juggling the duel responsibility of a Crown Princess and a Lantern, Laira is learning the responsibilities that not only come from holding a seat of political power, but the ones that also come from being a Lantern.

A former Green Lantern, Laira was expelled from the Corps after killing her father, her brother, and her father’s mistress for their roles in her family’s demise. She becomes Empress of Jayd after seizing power for herself from the current council. A ruthless ruler, she wipes out those who attempt to oppose her. Word of her rule spreads quickly and with it comes the fear that she’d hoped would blossom. Some years later when Hal Jordan takes on the mantle of Parallax and destroys the Corps, he takes Laira as a partner and gifts her with a Qwardian power ring to wield.
